I went to school in the late eighties, and we also did an oratorio about the Amazon, called Yanamamo. Is that the one you were thinking of, Annie? I always loved the song about the 2-toe sloth.
I still have the recording of our concert on cassette!

I was at Primary School in the eighties, and was lucky enough to be one of the founder members of the school choir. We did this great oratorio about the people, plants and animals of the Amazon rainforest - I'm sure if I did some research it would be easy to find. I especially loved the buzzing chromatic section of the Fig Wasp song! Still sing it sometimes...
Also we we sang a song about animals going to the BBC. Not sure what that was! Anyone have any ideas?
